Synopsis: A family play about a summer of camping out in the 50's.

~THE BACKSTORY~
This play is an original written by myself, Bill Brown, and first performed in 1998 at the Villa Playhouse. It has been performed several times since. I am looking forward to directing this wonderful drama/comedy for the VCP. The story is based on true events from my childhood when my parents were evicted from their home after a serious head injury to my father when I was ten years old. We found ourselves homeless living in a tent in Provo Canyon, all nine of us. "Rockrollers and Pancakes" remind us that even when life looks very bleak, a bit of laughter and comedy can go a long way in making the present moments seem less tragic. This is a delightful comedy and is a choice slice of life. As the late Sharon Gholdston former Lifestyles Editor for the Daily Herald summed it up in her review: "The story is full of hope and assurance that stress and problems are part of everyones lives and things are seldom as bleak as they seem. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the door until 7:30 p.m. on performance nights. Please do not bring babes in arms or children under 5 years of age. If you would like to make reservations or learn directions to the theater, call 785-1186.

Ticket prices are $6 regular admission, $5 for students, children and seniors, and $25 per family. $5 group rates are available for groups of 20 people or more.
